The shop ಅಂಗಡಿ
One counter, and someone behind it who knows your family.
Solanki Jewellers has been on this street since 2005. Dinesh Solanki keeps the counter himself — not a manager, not a shift.
That is most of what there is to say about how the shop runs. Most people who walk in have been in before, or someone in their family has, and they come back for the next wedding, the next naming day, the next birthday.
The trays come out and nobody hurries you. Try it on, hold it to the light, walk to the door to see it in daylight, and bring whoever else needs to see it before you decide. Nothing about the way this shop works depends on you deciding today.
What the counter is for
A wedding set is not an afternoon's work.
Come early. A full set is several pieces that have to agree with each other and with the person wearing them, and getting that right takes more than one visit — which is a good reason to start before the month of the wedding, not in it.
Send a message before you come and the pieces you want to look at will be out on the counter when you arrive, rather than being fetched while you stand there.
