How a price is made ಇಂದಿನ ದರ

Four numbers, in the same order, every time.

There is no price list on this site and there is not one in the shop either. Here is what stands in its place.

Every bill at this counter Figures are the day's
1 Weight grams Read off the counter scale while you watch, before a price is mentioned.
Today's rate ₹ per gram This morning's rate, said as a number. It is different tomorrow.
Making Told to you before you decide, never added on afterwards.
Old gold Whatever you bring in, weighed and valued here, taken off the total.
What you pay Arithmetic you watched

Why nothing here carries a price.

Gold moves every morning. A figure printed on a website is wrong by the next day, and a wrong figure does not read as out of date — it reads as a quote the shop is going back on. That is a worse start to a conversation than no figure at all.

So the number comes from the counter, on the day you ask, and it is built out of four things you can each check yourself.

The four steps In this order

1 · Weight Weighed in front of you, in grams On the counter scale, facing you, before anything is said about price. Ask for it again at the end if you want it again at the end.
2 · Rate The day's rate, per gram, said as a number The rate the shop is working to that morning. Ask on WhatsApp before you travel and you will get the same number you would get standing here.
3 · Making Making charges, told before you decide Not a percentage discovered at the till. It is part of the arithmetic you are shown, and it varies with the piece — a plain chain is not a temple choker.
4 · Old gold What you bring in, set against what you buy Weighed and valued at the same counter, and subtracted from the total rather than settled as a separate transaction afterwards.

Ask before you travel.

The rate is the one thing worth knowing before you get on a bus, and it is the question the shop is asked most. Send it as a message and it is answered as a message — no call back, no visit required.

What you send “What is today's gold rate?”
What comes back The morning's rate, per gram And if you name the piece, the weight and making with it.
Good for That day Tomorrow it is a different number, and the shop will say so rather than hold a stale one.
